My Dad

I know Father's Day was a few days ago.  Get over it.

My Dad is and always has been the greatest Dad.  All the memories I have of him make me smile. From the black shoes and socks with shorts worn while mowing the lawn to the Tai Chi routine on my raised spa deck to the car ride from Boise to Vancouver - just Dad and me.  He's had nothing but love and support for me, even when it was undeserved.  He's talented beyond measure (he can make a herd of cows sing like the Mormon Tabernacle Choir), serves his fellowman and the Lord with all his strength, has the patience of Job, and has shown me how to love by his example.  He has endured great trials with never a complaint and always stands firm and steadfast in his beliefs.  What a wonderful man is he.

Thanks, Dad for all you've done for me, and for my family through the years. I couldn't have asked for a better man to be my Dad.  I love you!

Playing Catch-Up

There is so much going on in the lives of the Scholls there's not much time for "extras" like blogging.  But I actually have a few spare moments tonight (it's midnight!), so I thought I'd do a catch-up post and try to share a few of the happenings at our house.

We are blessed - and so is Parker Ellis Schmidt!

We were so fortunate to have Ashley, Parker and sometimes Sam with us for so long!  It was wonderful to have Ashley here in town to deliver Parker and to stay for six whole weeks!  We enjoyed every minute of it.  Parker was blessed by his Daddy here on June 15th.

He looked so adorable in it was great to have Parker's Dad, Grandpa Scholl (he,he), and Great-Grandpa Best in the circle along with our good friend Chris DuBois. I'll add a photo later. I don't have them, but I'll get them.

Happy Father's Day!

We had a great Father's Day at our house.  We had our own Dad, our Grandpa, and our Son In-Law with us.  Sam had to leave after Parker's Blessing, but the other two stuck around for a steak dinner and a fun evening together.  The best part was the gifts!  Well, at least one in particular....

Pops and his new shirt
No, it wasn't Pop's new shirt, though it is really cool!

What could this BE???
Hmmmm, what could this BE?

Even Pops got in on the rockin'!

Needless to say, fun was had by all!  It's the best Father's Day gift I've ever received - I mean bought!  You should come over and play sometime!

Stayed tuned for Playing Catch-Up Part II....... I'm tired.
