I realize I'm not particularly eloquent or funny, but I thought there might be a couple people out there who check in now and again. But Ashley, you are the only person who EVER comments. Why is that? A little "hello!" or "gosh, it's great to see pictures of your adorable children!" or something. Sheesh.
Anybody? Anybody? Bueller?

Christmas Eve
I know...it's the middle of January. I really have thought about blogging many times since my last post. It seems that every time I sit down at my computer (in my really comfy down chair) to work on the blog, I fall asleep. Maybe I shouldn't put on my warm jammies and get my really soft blanket first. Anyway, I digress.
Christmas Eve was really fun. We took the traditional kids photo with Santa early in the day. It was a bummer not having Ashley and Sam with us.
We had our traditional Christmas Eve fondue party. This year we tried a couple new recipes. I think maybe we used a bit too much alcohol in the cheese fondue! It tasted great!
Our good friend (and honorary son) Chris DuBois came over to spend the evening with us. He's a great guy and really loves the Karate Kid movies. Having Chris on Christmas Eve is another wonderful tradition. He's not allowed to make other plans.
We enjoyed the reading of the story of the birth of Christ. This year Will and Molly took turns reading from the Bible. The best part was when Molly was reading about the angel Gabriel appearing to Mary. She read, "And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus," when Will chimed in with, "Why'd HE get to name the baby??" It was a really memorable moment.
We sang Christmas Carols around the piano and Lucy played for us.
Santa left jammies for everyone, as usual. It was a great night!
Cheese?
