Playing Catch-Up

There is so much going on in the lives of the Scholls there's not much time for "extras" like blogging.  But I actually have a few spare moments tonight (it's midnight!), so I thought I'd do a catch-up post and try to share a few of the happenings at our house.

We are blessed - and so is Parker Ellis Schmidt!

We were so fortunate to have Ashley, Parker and sometimes Sam with us for so long!  It was wonderful to have Ashley here in town to deliver Parker and to stay for six whole weeks!  We enjoyed every minute of it.  Parker was blessed by his Daddy here on June 15th.

He looked so adorable in it was great to have Parker's Dad, Grandpa Scholl (he,he), and Great-Grandpa Best in the circle along with our good friend Chris DuBois. I'll add a photo later. I don't have them, but I'll get them.

Happy Father's Day!

We had a great Father's Day at our house.  We had our own Dad, our Grandpa, and our Son In-Law with us.  Sam had to leave after Parker's Blessing, but the other two stuck around for a steak dinner and a fun evening together.  The best part was the gifts!  Well, at least one in particular....

Pops and his new shirt
No, it wasn't Pop's new shirt, though it is really cool!

What could this BE???
Hmmmm, what could this BE?

ROCK ON! It's Rock Band!

Pops got in on the rockin' too!
Even Pops got in on the rockin'!

Needless to say, fun was had by all!  It's the best Father's Day gift I've ever received - I mean bought!  You should come over and play sometime!

Stayed tuned for Playing Catch-Up Part II....... I'm tired.

Molly-ism

I really need to document more of the Molly-isms that occur.  This child is incredibly observant, amazingly wise, and wildly hilarious!  So, here's a recent example.  Molly loves creating recipes, which she learned from Lucy.  She TIVOs several Food Network shows and watches them more than once!  She has come up with some wonderful dishes and always has a creative name for them.  One of our favorites is the famous "Guaca-Molly".  The other night she came up with a name for her next creation.  She decided that she was going to make dessert on Saturday night and would call it "Saturday Sundaes"!  Watch out Rachel Ray.

How Many People are Named Karen Scholl???

How many have your name?

How about Jonathan Scholl?

So that begs the question.....are any of those 13 Jonathan Scholls married to one of the 28 Karen Scholls???  (Besides us.) Figure that one out.

Parker Ellis Schmidt

Can I just tell you how cool this guy is?

The coolest.  Anyway, it's pretty late and I haven't slept for about 41 hours, so I don't have time to blog the whole story (it's a REALLY long story!), but I will tomorrow.  For now I just wanted you to know about Parker and......

my beautiful, amazing, wonderful daughter who just gave birth to this really cool guy.

No News is Bad News

When you're waiting to give birth that's the truth! Ashley is still very pregnant. She's taken walks, been to the mall and even cleaned house! Nothing. So tonight we're going to a baseball game (Frisco Roughriders) and I'm making her eat a big ole hot dog! Stay tuned....

PSYCH!!!

So Ashley's not like me. She spent the night at the hospital, IV in this morning with the labor inducing drug. Nada. Nothing. Not even one centimeter at 4:00. She's coming home. If she doesn't go into labor on her own, we'll try again on Monday. MONDAY? Are you freaking kidding me? I'm not that patient. I'm an immediate gratification person. I'm taking her to the mall. Put on your walking shoes, Ashley!

Here We Go!

I just left Ashley and Sam in the hospital! If all goes as planned, we'll have a new baby in our family tomorrow! I'm so excited I can't stand it!
